Exploring Switzerland’s language practises in the Red Cross child evacuations during the Second World War.
Over 60,000 European children were evacuated for brief periods to Switzerland. The Red Cross was just one of many wartime agencies that helped.
By historicising the tradition of translation in Switzerland, this project will highlight the evolution and legitimacy of Swiss translation and interpreting.
